The Sheepfold and the Voice of the Shepherd

Stone sheepfold John 10:22-30 Recently my boys have been spending a great deal of time outside in the area that will soon be transformed into our garden. They spend endless hours digging in the dirt for worms. They then promptly take those worms and throw them to the chickens. It amazes me how even chickens can learn to recognize sounds or voices. My oldest makes this funny high-pitched sound when he comes out of the house and heads toward the coop. The chickens practically fall over themselves running toward the fence or out of the coop when they hear him making his sound. They know there is food to follow! In Sunday's Gospel Jesus tells us that, "My sheep hear my voice. I know them, and they follow me." and "I am the gate for the sheep." Today, again, Jesus mentions that His sheep know His voice and follow Him.  In these few verses we learn that Jesus is both gate and shepherd for the sheep. In those days and even today in some places, a sheepfold w

Thank You for 21 Years In Print!!!

THANK YOU FOR 21 YEARS IN PRINT!!! I appreciate everyone who has kept this book in the hands of so many of the faithful helped get it translated into Polish!

October 2023 marks the 21st Anniversary of St. John Paul II's Apostolic Letter Rosarium Virginis Mariae.  If you've never read this letter, do your self a favor and take some time to read it.  It's a beautiful letter, a love letter if you will, to Our Lady and the Church.  Through this letter, I truly learned what it means to pray the rosary and to "sit at the school of Mary and contemplate the face of Christ."

Inspired by this saintly work, I wrote Rosary Meditations for Real Life.(#ad)  I wanted to share my insights into the rosary and life of Christ with the world.  I also wanted these meditations to reach the common experiences of human life.  I wanted to show others that if we contemplate Christ through Mary, every aspect of our lives can be seen in the mysteries of the rosary.  And so I wrote meditations that help others contemplate Death, Marriage, Children, Addiction, the Mass, and Work.  In addition, I included a unique set of contemplation that looked at the Mysteries of the Rosary through the eyes of those who lived the scripture passages like Mary, Joseph, a leper, St. John, Judas, and more.

As we celebrate the 21 year anniversary of Rosarium Virginis Mariae and Rosary Meditations for Real Life, I am looking at publishing a second volume.  However, I would love to know the topics that you would like to see in the book.  What life events would you like help meditating upon.  So far, I plan on meditations that cover some or all of the following: Suffering, the Eucharist, and Special Days like Mother's Day, Father's Day, etc.

Do you have an idea?  Is there something that you would like to have meditations written about that could help you?  Let me know by sending me an email with your idea or leave your idea in the comments.  If you haven't read either of my current meditation books, click here to check out many of the meditations that have been converted to PDF pamphlets for printing and sharing.

Also, if you have Rosary Meditations for Real Life, what would you change about it.  I am considering re-releasing an updated version using a newer translation for the Scriptures since that is the most common complaint about the book.  What are your thoughts?  Let me know in an email or the comments.

As always, thanks for reading and thanks for your support!
