Mary, May, and Mother's Day

A few years ago I wrote some rosary meditations for Mother's Day for my mom and my wife. Many have enjoyed them so I wanted to share them with you all. The meditations are in a three-fold PDF flyer format for downloading. Corn Smut

It's enough to make a grown man cry. I think my wife did cry. Two days ago we discovered a dirty secret in our beautiful garden. We have corn smut. I looked it up on Google which by the way removed the word "smut" from the search with the "safe search" on. Anyway, corn smut or Ustilago maydis is a fungus that grows on corn and makes farmers like me cry at the thought of all that work, care, weeding, dreams of freezing and enjoying during cold winter days, go to smut. Although some communities find it to be a delicacy I don't think I'll be munching on corn smut any time soon. Enjoy the pictures. I need a Kleenex.
