The Sheepfold and the Voice of the Shepherd

Stone sheepfold John 10:22-30 Recently my boys have been spending a great deal of time outside in the area that will soon be transformed into our garden. They spend endless hours digging in the dirt for worms. They then promptly take those worms and throw them to the chickens. It amazes me how even chickens can learn to recognize sounds or voices. My oldest makes this funny high-pitched sound when he comes out of the house and heads toward the coop. The chickens practically fall over themselves running toward the fence or out of the coop when they hear him making his sound. They know there is food to follow! In Sunday's Gospel Jesus tells us that, "My sheep hear my voice. I know them, and they follow me." and "I am the gate for the sheep." Catherine

Catherine will have surgery to correct her eyes next Friday, March 6. This will involve cutting *wince* the muscles that pull her eyes inward and reattching them so they don't pull as much. I was assured by the doctor that this is a very simple surgery, there are no cuts made on her face, and she should feel little to no discomfort afterwards. Still...we would appreciate prayers!
Thank you and God Bless!

Prayers for a successful surgery.

I had similar surgery when I was four so if it went fine over forty years ago; it must be highly improved now.

Our 17 yo had eye muscle surgery when he was two. It was an easy surgery, corrected the problem, and he did fine. It's never easy, however, to watch your baby leave for surgery. I will keep you and Nicole in my prayers as well as Catherine. Having it at Children's?

I've been meaning to tell you too that I worked with several babies that had this procedure, and the problem was always fixed perfectly! We'll be praying for her.
Love,
her godmother
