The Seasons: A Poem

Sunrise over Amazing Grasses Family Farm The mad Artist wields His brush, Painted colors rush, To life and give flush, Before the quiet autumn hush. The life seems to pour, As colors fall to the floor, To be seen no more, Outside the dark, grey door. Brightness from below, Sun upon the snow, High, cold clouds blow, Flakes and ice appear to grow. The man melts with little seen, Underneath, pale, grey green, Hides life in dark unseen, Waits for warmth and to careen. Buds on branches show, Patience starts to grow, Trickles, streams and veins flow, Bringing fruits of melted snow. Sprung to life it springs, Bees, birds, sound rings, Lush green flings, Its gift bounty brings. Green growth gives one last rush, Underneath the Painter's brush. The mad Artist wields His brush, before the quiet autumn hush. More poetry is available from James M. Hahn in  The Last Dragon and Other Poems  available now. Update

Catherine had a visit with the doctor yesterday and surprisingly her weight has remained stable since we left Seattle! I expected it to drop with this illness she has and with her not eating much at all. He was happy with the progress we made in Seattle and wants to see her in a month.

Today was the first day Catherine did not have an elevated temperature, but she is still fussy and tired and not herself. It seems like she had a rash on her face and neck and then on her trunk. She seemed to eat a little more than yesterday, but we're talking about maybe 15 pieces of popcorn for the whole day. I hope this passes soon. I have to keep reminding myself that she WILL eat again. I just feel terrible that she feels bad and that it could be because she's hungry. I feel much better at night after I give her a full tube feeding and she gets some nourishment for the night.

Thanks for your prayers and support! I will update again as things change. God Bless!

If you don't mind me asking; why popcorn? I would have though it wasn't very calorie dense but maybe there's another reason?
