The Seasons: A Poem

Sunrise over Amazing Grasses Family Farm The mad Artist wields His brush, Painted colors rush, To life and give flush, Before the quiet autumn hush. The life seems to pour, As colors fall to the floor, To be seen no more, Outside the dark, grey door. Brightness from below, Sun upon the snow, High, cold clouds blow, Flakes and ice appear to grow. The man melts with little seen, Underneath, pale, grey green, Hides life in dark unseen, Waits for warmth and to careen. Buds on branches show, Patience starts to grow, Trickles, streams and veins flow, Bringing fruits of melted snow. Sprung to life it springs, Bees, birds, sound rings, Lush green flings, Its gift bounty brings. Green growth gives one last rush, Underneath the Painter's brush. The Sin Gene

MUN - February 4, 2007 - It was revealed today that scientists have discovered the gene responsible for sin. The gene, aptly named Adam-1, was discovered by a team of American scientists late last year and their findings have recently been published in Geneology Today.

The "sin gene" as it is being referred to is responsible for causing a person with this gene-defect to act in selfish and often pride-filled ways. The effects can range from making the victim and those closest to them uncomfortable to extreme acts of violence against humanity. Symptoms include tendencies toward Pride, Covetousness, Lust, Anger, Gluttony, Envy, and Sloth.

Some scientists noted that this genetic situation may be more widespread than previously thought. Clinical studies revealed that 100% of those tested tested positive for this genetic condition. Many participants in the study admitted that they had no idea that they might have this defect. One participant was quoted as saying, "at least I now know why I act the way I do. I'm pretty sure it comes from my father's side of the family."

More research is being performed in hope of finding a treatment. Today's treatments include a special water bath by which patients are cleansed with water. The treatment also know as "Baptism" is reported as being effective at cleansing a patient from the original defect but the patient is still susceptible to relapses, a condition known as concupiscence. Life-long treatments include regular trips to a dark room with one screened window. This room, commonly referred to as a "Confessional" enables the patient to experience a treatment similar to the Baptism treatment. Physicians recommend this treatment every two weeks for the best results. Delaying this ongoing treatment can and does often result in serious problems for the patient to the point of denying they are even ill.

Another treatment that is recommended for daily use is a sort of genetic transfusion. A patient participates in what is being called a "Mass" where they receive the flesh and blood of One who is without this disorder. This has been found to be the most effective treatment. The best results have been noticed in those who experience both the "Confessional" treatment and the "Mass" treatment regularly.

Scientists heartily support all three treatments but recognize that the sin gene will continue to give us problems for generations to come. Since all of those tested so far, with the exception of the One, have tested positive, the likely hood of eliminating the problem is unlikely.

The One has given His flesh and blood for the treatment of others and continues to do so everyday, every hour, everywhere. His Mother too tested negative for the sin gene and many are speaking with her as well.
