Happy 16th Birthday Catherine Therese!!

Although you'll never read this my sweet Catherine, I love you. 16 years ago you changed our life forever. All of your siblings have done this in their own way but you have done so in a very special way. You have made me more empathetic, compassionate, and much more prayerful. Your smile lights up the world around you and we are all blessed by it.  It's not easy living with a saint. You remind me of my weakness and limited time on this earth. You challenge me to go deeper within myself and find what the Lord is trying to teach me...usually patience. You are made in His image and likeness but He uses you so that I can see my own beauty, goodness, and shortcomings.  You struggle mightily against me with every bath, diaper change, and wardrobe change. Excuses

What is it about a blog that makes you feel guilty if you don't post as often as you'd like? I guess this is my online journal. So here's the events (excuses) that have kept me from my mistress (blog) over the last few days...

1. Rosary Book # 2

2. Friday - Family Day (stations of the cross, fish fry etc.)

3. Hosting First Communion Workshop on Saturday

4. Sick child 3:00 AM Sunday morning (when I left for work he was on crawling on the floor barking like a dog (he's 2+) hopefully it starts and ends with him)

5. Sunday is a day of rest but work for me as a DRE, PSR, Pre-Cana, etc.

Hope to post something extremely insightful, inspiring, educational, etc. soon or at least once in my life....

Quote of the week - "Make sure you pull your pants down." - my 5 year-old to my 2 year-old who is potty training. Wise advice based on years of experience! Like my wife says, "another great reason to have more kids, the older ones can train the younger."
