The Seasons: A Poem

Sunrise over Amazing Grasses Family Farm The mad Artist wields His brush, Painted colors rush, To life and give flush, Before the quiet autumn hush. The life seems to pour, As colors fall to the floor, To be seen no more, Outside the dark, grey door. Brightness from below, Sun upon the snow, High, cold clouds blow, Flakes and ice appear to grow. The man melts with little seen, Underneath, pale, grey green, Hides life in dark unseen, Waits for warmth and to careen. Buds on branches show, Patience starts to grow, Trickles, streams and veins flow, Bringing fruits of melted snow. Sprung to life it springs, Bees, birds, sound rings, Lush green flings, Its gift bounty brings. Green growth gives one last rush, Underneath the Painter's brush. The mad Artist wields His brush, before the quiet autumn hush. More poetry is available from James M. Hahn in  The Last Dragon and Other Poems  available now. Our Grand Opening

My family and I have been operating a "traveling bookstore" for some time now. We usually travel like mad during Lent and Advent to any parish in the Diocese that is open to having us. I usually pack up the car on Saturday afternoon and drive to the parish and set up. Nicole and boys join me shortly after and we finish setting up and then stay till after Mass. The next day we come back to the parish, attend one of the masses, and tend to our "store". This has proved to be a great tool for evangelization and a lot of fun for our family.

Well, we have decided to take the next step in opening a more permanent location although we will still travel. I remodeled a portion of our basement into a store and we will be having our Grand Opening this weekend (Friday and Saturday specifically). If you are in the neighborhood, I consider within 50 miles the neighborhood, please do stop by we would love to meet you. I hope to post some pictures of the event so stay tuned. For more info on our store click here.

Thanks for your prayers and support!
Please also pray for me. I'll be addressing the youth of at the local parish for their inaugural Youth Group program! No pressure!!!
