A Temple of the Holy Spirit

Daniel & Catherine ready for Confirmation I had the privilege of witnessing my son and daughter receive the Sacrament of Confirmation this past Tuesday at the Basilica of Our Lady of the Annunciation in Lancaster, OH. It was a wonderful Mass with a full choir, trumpets, and all the rest. During his remarks, Bishop Earl K. Fernandes mentioned that we too, like the Basilica, are temples of the Lord. It caused me to reflect on this idea. Although I've mostly seen only pictures of the great cathedrals and basilicas in the world, I have seen some amazing churches even in our own diocese. These structures are a testament to the Church's love for God (read the entire Church - Militant, Suffering, Triumphant). Watch what you say...

At dinner on Sunday evening #1 told us that the neighbor boy has a girlfriend. #1 is almost 7 and the neighbor boy is 6. Nicole and I looked at each other with a smile.

He then went on to say, "Yeah, he said her name is Emily and she is really hot. I don't know what that means. Maybe she should take an extra shirt off or something if she's hot."

In this case, parents will have to begin to give carefully limited sexual information, usually to correct immoral and erroneous information or to control obscene language. #84 TMHS

She [The Church] also has many of the answers. It would be good for every Catholic parent to familiarize themselves with the Church's document on The Truth and Meaning of Human Sexuality. Unfortunately, you may find that you need to use this very document to defend the innocence and rights of your child against most Catholic schools.
