The Seasons: A Poem

Sunrise over Amazing Grasses Family Farm The mad Artist wields His brush, Painted colors rush, To life and give flush, Before the quiet autumn hush. The life seems to pour, As colors fall to the floor, To be seen no more, Outside the dark, grey door. Brightness from below, Sun upon the snow, High, cold clouds blow, Flakes and ice appear to grow. The man melts with little seen, Underneath, pale, grey green, Hides life in dark unseen, Waits for warmth and to careen. Buds on branches show, Patience starts to grow, Trickles, streams and veins flow, Bringing fruits of melted snow. Sprung to life it springs, Bees, birds, sound rings, Lush green flings, Its gift bounty brings. Green growth gives one last rush, Underneath the Painter's brush. The mad Artist wields His brush, before the quiet autumn hush. More poetry is available from James M. Hahn in  The Last Dragon and Other Poems  available now. Catherine Update

Nicole and I visited Catherine yesterday. The poor thing had a very busy day. She had an echocardiogram (heart), a vision test, and an renal ultrasound (kidneys). I think she was worn out when mom and dad came to visit but she still opened her eyes for us.

The doctor called this morning and said all of the tests came back normal. They are planning on removing the suction from the tube in her stomach as the liquids are clearing up. The tube will stay in but will operate on gravity rather than constant suction. Her intestines are waking up again and of her plumbing appears to be working fine so hopefully they will begin feeding in a few days.

I say it over and over on this blog and to you all in person when we talk - THANK YOU for your prayers and support. Catherine is in one of the very best hospitals in the country if not the world. And she has the very best prayer support in the world as well. We are overwhelmed by the love and prayers poured out for her and our family. Thank you for the prayers, thank you for sharing your own personal stories of love and life concerning your own families, thank you for your extreme generosity. Thank you!
