The Seasons: A Poem

Sunrise over Amazing Grasses Family Farm The mad Artist wields His brush, Painted colors rush, To life and give flush, Before the quiet autumn hush. The life seems to pour, As colors fall to the floor, To be seen no more, Outside the dark, grey door. Brightness from below, Sun upon the snow, High, cold clouds blow, Flakes and ice appear to grow. The man melts with little seen, Underneath, pale, grey green, Hides life in dark unseen, Waits for warmth and to careen. Buds on branches show, Patience starts to grow, Trickles, streams and veins flow, Bringing fruits of melted snow. Sprung to life it springs, Bees, birds, sound rings, Lush green flings, Its gift bounty brings. Green growth gives one last rush, Underneath the Painter's brush. The mad Artist wields His brush, before the quiet autumn hush. More poetry is available from James M. Hahn in  The Last Dragon and Other Poems  available now. Keep up the prayers

I can't begin to thank you all for your prayers. They mean so much. Especially keep praying for Nicole and Catherine. Nicole is truly my hero. Her strength through all of this is unreal. She has not only endured intense physical suffering - and continues to do so - she does it with a smile and with grace.

It is about 10:00 PM as I write this from the Ronald McDonald House here in Columbus. I never knew how wonderful this place and organization is. What a blessing!

I check on Catherine about a half hour ago and things were improving though I type with guarded optimism. She is sooo sick from everything that has happened. She is fighting though and that is all we can ask. She is stubborn just like our Christopher and she looks like him too.

They continue to work with different techniques trying at all cost to avoid the ECHMO machine which is the heart and lung bypass machine I mentioned in an earlier post. In fact, the doctor told us at about 8 o'clock that she thinks Catherine is too small for that. We were not happy to hear that at all but we continue to trust in God's plan.

I keep thinking of what Fr. James Coleman said in a homily once. He said that when we ask why we need to turn WHY around to YHW - Your Holy Will. So that is what we continue to pray.

Fr. Hahn spent all afternoon with us and blessed Catherine with some beautiful prayers three times during his stay.

Again, thank you for your prayers. I am sorry that I can't respond to every single post at this time but trust me I am reading them all and thanking God for each of you.
