A Temple of the Holy Spirit

Daniel & Catherine ready for Confirmation I had the privilege of witnessing my son and daughter receive the Sacrament of Confirmation this past Tuesday at the Basilica of Our Lady of the Annunciation in Lancaster, OH. It was a wonderful Mass with a full choir, trumpets, and all the rest. During his remarks, Bishop Earl K. Fernandes mentioned that we too, like the Basilica, are temples of the Lord. It caused me to reflect on this idea. Although I've mostly seen only pictures of the great cathedrals and basilicas in the world, I have seen some amazing churches even in our own diocese. These structures are a testament to the Church's love for God (read the entire Church - Militant, Suffering, Triumphant). They represent great skill, sacrifice, and passion for Our Lord and often times His Mother.  Yet the words of Christ always echo in my mind when contemplating the beauty that surrounds me in those places; “ Do you see these great buildings? Prayers Please!

This is Mom again...Catherine's Mom that is. The attempt to place the NJ tube was unsuccessful, the tube would not go past the duodenum and into the jejunum. So the tube was left there and she is still getting fed through it but it is called an ND tube. The radiologist was perplexed as to why the tube would not go farther than the duodenum. All he said was, "I'll be seeing you again for an upper GI". He was correct, and she has one scheduled for tomorrow morning. The thought is that there may be an area of constriction possibly caused by scar tissue from her previous surgery. This would require another surgery. Please pray that they find out what is causing Catherine to continue to spit up, and that she not require a third surgery. Please pray for her weary parents, we were looking forward to possibly advancing her feedings tomorrow, instead we feel like we're back at square one. Thank you, you all continue to be in our prayers.
