The Seasons: A Poem

Sunrise over Amazing Grasses Family Farm The mad Artist wields His brush, Painted colors rush, To life and give flush, Before the quiet autumn hush. The life seems to pour, As colors fall to the floor, To be seen no more, Outside the dark, grey door. Brightness from below, Sun upon the snow, High, cold clouds blow, Flakes and ice appear to grow. The man melts with little seen, Underneath, pale, grey green, Hides life in dark unseen, Waits for warmth and to careen. Buds on branches show, Patience starts to grow, Trickles, streams and veins flow, Bringing fruits of melted snow. Sprung to life it springs, Bees, birds, sound rings, Lush green flings, Its gift bounty brings. Green growth gives one last rush, Underneath the Painter's brush. The mad Artist wields His brush, before the quiet autumn hush. More poetry is available from James M. Hahn in  The Last Dragon and Other Poems  available now. Catherine

And what gets me out of bed is one of the boys laying next to me breathing quickly...I just know they're going to spew in my hair.

Sorry, like Jim said, you just have to be in our house right now.

Back to Catherine. She had her ears examined under anesthesia today. She did great, she's a pro at going under now. They were looking for fluid behind her eardrums as a possible cause for her hearing loss and they found none so she did not get tubes placed. They also did another hearing test while she was under and it showed the same results. Now they are looking for other causes for the hearing loss. The ENT wants to have a CAT scan done in about six months to examine the bones in her ears to see if they are malformed. Catherine is also going to have an MRI around that time as well to follow up with her previous ones and the ENT said she would add some scans to assess the nerves. In the meantime, Catherine will get fitted for hearing aids in a month or two so that she can hear the best she can while they try to figure out the cause.

So thank you for your prayers, please keep them up! Oh, and Catherine weighs about 10 1/2 lbs. right now! We will keep all of you in our prayers.

Here's a video of Catherine getting kisses from a brother.
