The Seasons: A Poem

Sunrise over Amazing Grasses Family Farm The mad Artist wields His brush, Painted colors rush, To life and give flush, Before the quiet autumn hush. The life seems to pour, As colors fall to the floor, To be seen no more, Outside the dark, grey door. Brightness from below, Sun upon the snow, High, cold clouds blow, Flakes and ice appear to grow. The man melts with little seen, Underneath, pale, grey green, Hides life in dark unseen, Waits for warmth and to careen. Buds on branches show, Patience starts to grow, Trickles, streams and veins flow, Bringing fruits of melted snow. Sprung to life it springs, Bees, birds, sound rings, Lush green flings, Its gift bounty brings. Green growth gives one last rush, Underneath the Painter's brush. The mad Artist wields His brush, before the quiet autumn hush. More poetry is available from James M. Hahn in  The Last Dragon and Other Poems  available now. Bird Dogs

My dad always had bird dogs when we were growing up. My favorite dog was a Brittany Spaniel named Max. I loved that dog. I've been trying to talk Nicole into letting me get a Beagle or a Bird Dog. She has finally agreed to a Bird Dog. Which one do you think we should get?

Ok, that's just weird! It was a bit early in the morning for my mind to process this.

I love a dog you can keep in a one square foot cage!

PS Beagles are bad dogs! :o)

Patience, Sorry for weirding you out.

Barbara, I don't know if we'll be able to remain friends, Beagles are awesome! Did you mean bad as in good? ;-)

I have two huskies myself. They live outdoors in a large pen and the colder it gets the happier they are. I don't know what kind of bird dogs they are cause they let a flock of them come in and eat some of their kibble. They are pretty good at slaying a raccoon.

My husband loves Beagles, too, and had one as a boy. I think they dig and bay and generally get into trouble. Maybe it's a guy thing.
