The Seasons: A Poem

Sunrise over Amazing Grasses Family Farm The mad Artist wields His brush, Painted colors rush, To life and give flush, Before the quiet autumn hush. The life seems to pour, As colors fall to the floor, To be seen no more, Outside the dark, grey door. Brightness from below, Sun upon the snow, High, cold clouds blow, Flakes and ice appear to grow. The man melts with little seen, Underneath, pale, grey green, Hides life in dark unseen, Waits for warmth and to careen. Buds on branches show, Patience starts to grow, Trickles, streams and veins flow, Bringing fruits of melted snow. Sprung to life it springs, Bees, birds, sound rings, Lush green flings, Its gift bounty brings. Green growth gives one last rush, Underneath the Painter's brush. The mad Artist wields His brush, before the quiet autumn hush. More poetry is available from James M. Hahn in  The Last Dragon and Other Poems  available now. Celebrating the Life of our new President

Mr. President,

Please give every child the opportunity you had even though it may be tough. Use your position to defend and protect life, the born, the unborn, and the women who feel they have no choice. You spoke of change during the campaign. Change the hearts of the people to respect life in all it's stages. You never know which baby might be the next to do great things for this great country. The future of our country is in your hands. The future of so many potential citizens is in your hands. Please don't sign FOCA. As you said in your address, "...the God-given promise that all are equal, all are free, and all deserve a chance to pursue their full measure of happiness.." You are in my prayers!

Great video, but since I keep yelling it at the television, I'll say it here too -- he's BIracial! He is as white as he is black.

I was going to send this to you, but now I see you already have it. :) By the way, I know this is my first time commenting, but I check your blog daily and have done so for a long time (and enjoy it!) I was under a mistaken impression that only registered blogspot people could comment, but I have figured it out!

Lauren, thanks for posting and for reading. To be fair, for a while I did have the blog set so that only bloggers could post. It was time of much heated discussion concerning a post of mine on taking kids to Mass. I got frustrated with anon. posts. Thanks again. your favorite BIL
