The Seasons: A Poem

Sunrise over Amazing Grasses Family Farm The mad Artist wields His brush, Painted colors rush, To life and give flush, Before the quiet autumn hush. The life seems to pour, As colors fall to the floor, To be seen no more, Outside the dark, grey door. Brightness from below, Sun upon the snow, High, cold clouds blow, Flakes and ice appear to grow. The man melts with little seen, Underneath, pale, grey green, Hides life in dark unseen, Waits for warmth and to careen. Buds on branches show, Patience starts to grow, Trickles, streams and veins flow, Bringing fruits of melted snow. Sprung to life it springs, Bees, birds, sound rings, Lush green flings, Its gift bounty brings. Green growth gives one last rush, Underneath the Painter's brush. The mad Artist wields His brush, before the quiet autumn hush. More poetry is available from James M. Hahn in  The Last Dragon and Other Poems  available now. Catherine

Here are some pictures of Catherine in her modified highchair. The physical therapist came out yesterday and cut some foam to insert in her high chair to give her some extra support. Before the support she really couldn't play on her tray because she sat so low. She enjoyed playing in it several times today. She really loves that dog in the picture...the ears crinkle and she is addicted to anything that crinkles.
She's still not too keen on the whole eating bit. The speech therapist suggested we take a break from the cereal, she obviously doesn't like it and we don't want to push it too much. I've tried sweet potato and I get the same reaction. She doesn't mind too much a cheerio soaked in formula, but it still ends up outside her mouth. I think the concensus is that she just isn't ready for it. I'm ok with that except I wish we were moving closer to getting the g-tube out. I try to be thankful for it because with it I don't have to worry so much about her weight gain. She was weighed on Tuesday and she is now 15# 12 oz. The doctor was happy with her weight even though her gain seems to be slowing down. Enjoy the video!

FYI -- You probably don't have any control over the Google ads in your sidebar, but I'm seeing one for a Donor Sperm Bank. ;-)

Very cute.

Have you ever tried something like Farley's biscuits if she's into gumming things?
