The Seasons: A Poem

Sunrise over Amazing Grasses Family Farm The mad Artist wields His brush, Painted colors rush, To life and give flush, Before the quiet autumn hush. The life seems to pour, As colors fall to the floor, To be seen no more, Outside the dark, grey door. Brightness from below, Sun upon the snow, High, cold clouds blow, Flakes and ice appear to grow. The man melts with little seen, Underneath, pale, grey green, Hides life in dark unseen, Waits for warmth and to careen. Buds on branches show, Patience starts to grow, Trickles, streams and veins flow, Bringing fruits of melted snow. Sprung to life it springs, Bees, birds, sound rings, Lush green flings, Its gift bounty brings. Green growth gives one last rush, Underneath the Painter's brush. The mad Artist wields His brush, before the quiet autumn hush. More poetry is available from James M. Hahn in  The Last Dragon and Other Poems  available now. Quick Update

Catherine continues to do well without any nutrition via her tube. Her weight still remains the same, so that's good. Hopefully in the not so distant future we'll see some weight gain! She saw her GI doctor earlier this week and this is the first time he's seen her since her wean. He was very concerned about her BMI (height to weight ratio), which is in the 16th percentile. I think he was concerned about the drop in percentile, not the actual percentile. About a year ago she was in the 90th percentile in the BMI chart (overweight!). Anyway, I'm going to fire him. He threatened starting up tube feeds again if she doesn't start going up on the chart. He didn't say ONE thing about her actually eating now! Not, "Wow, that's great!" Nothing positive or encouraging. The only thing he said was "Well, her BMI has dropped". Very rarely have I felt like hitting a doctor, but I did that day (felt like it, that is! I didn't actually do it). The only positive thing he did was say we could stop the prevacid. So I've done that and she is doing fine without. The only medication she is on now is Miralax!

Thank you for all your continued prayers for us! We pray for you.
