The Seasons: A Poem

Sunrise over Amazing Grasses Family Farm The mad Artist wields His brush, Painted colors rush, To life and give flush, Before the quiet autumn hush. The life seems to pour, As colors fall to the floor, To be seen no more, Outside the dark, grey door. Brightness from below, Sun upon the snow, High, cold clouds blow, Flakes and ice appear to grow. The man melts with little seen, Underneath, pale, grey green, Hides life in dark unseen, Waits for warmth and to careen. Buds on branches show, Patience starts to grow, Trickles, streams and veins flow, Bringing fruits of melted snow. Sprung to life it springs, Bees, birds, sound rings, Lush green flings, Its gift bounty brings. Green growth gives one last rush, Underneath the Painter's brush. The mad Artist wields His brush, before the quiet autumn hush. More poetry is available from James M. Hahn in  The Last Dragon and Other Poems  available now. Photo Finish 12/7-12/13

In the midst of 2020, in the day to day, the year seems to crawl but looking back over the year, it really has flown by.  The weeks seem to fly by too.  Here's some pics from the past week in the Hahn household (CLICK ON THE PIC FOR A FULL VIEW)...

I finished my first semester studying Health Information Management.  I think I did okay with a 4.0, guess I'll need to try harder next semester.  It's interesting attending college at my age while two of my eldest boys are also attending the same college.  Of course I had the highest GPA!!!

The current plague entered our home sometime in the last couple of weeks.  This means no work, Church, or sports for the quarantined.  Thankfully it was all mild and not really distinguishable from a moderate cold.  We wouldn't have known it was Covid if one of the boys hadn't been tested.

Just a cute picture of my best buddy in the whole wide world (self proclaimed).  Mimi made this vestment years ago and it has held up through many "priests" in the family.

My board of fine art from the before mentioned best buddy!  Love looking at it each day in my office.

I think even TIME knows they really messed up with their POY cover.

I fixed it for them with my Person of the Year!!!

We'll end on a sweet note with this delicious picture of some Hot Chocolate and marshmallows.
See you next week, have a blessed Advent!
