The Seasons: A Poem

Sunrise over Amazing Grasses Family Farm The mad Artist wields His brush, Painted colors rush, To life and give flush, Before the quiet autumn hush. The life seems to pour, As colors fall to the floor, To be seen no more, Outside the dark, grey door. Brightness from below, Sun upon the snow, High, cold clouds blow, Flakes and ice appear to grow. The man melts with little seen, Underneath, pale, grey green, Hides life in dark unseen, Waits for warmth and to careen. Buds on branches show, Patience starts to grow, Trickles, streams and veins flow, Bringing fruits of melted snow. Sprung to life it springs, Bees, birds, sound rings, Lush green flings, Its gift bounty brings. Green growth gives one last rush, Underneath the Painter's brush. Saturday Series Spolight

 Okay, I just titled the post by that name because it was fun. However, I do want to take a moment to highlight the "series" blog posts that you can find here on my site:

1. The Greenspace - Here you will find the first 6 Chapters of a futuristic novel that I am currently writing. In this dystopian novel Stephen Partridge finds himself in a world where anything and everything is provided by the Cityspace, the perfectly created city of the future. However, outside the city's safety fence lies the Greenspace, a perfectly manicured forest that somehow provides all of the power for the Greenspace. Yet when his young son runs away into the Greenspace, Stephen discovers that there is more to the story than what he has been told by the government schools and propaganda. 

2. The Seven Habits of Holy Catholic Families - Based on the Seven Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen Covey this series shows how these same habits can be found within our Catholic Faith. The blog series can help families grow in their love for God and work on fostering the virtues within the family.

3. 4 Simple Steps to Better Meditations - This series of posts is actually my book by the same name broken down into a series of posts. These 4 Steps have helped countless souls dive deeper into the daily readings and better converse with the Lord.

4. Our Life With a Saint - This popular ongoing series is a deep dive into our life with a very special handicapped child, our daughter Catherine. Here you will learn about our family and how we have thus far learned to accept God's will for our life and hers.

5. The Prodigal Father - This is a retelling, in story form, of Jesus' parable of the prodigal son. While only the first two chapters are currently available, I think you will find them enlightening and entertaining as I flesh out the characters of this timeless parable.

6. The Sawgrass Adventures - Here you will find the first two chapters of the story of two young brothers who find themselves caught up in an epic adventure within the sawgrass growing behind their home. Andre, the field mouse, seeks revenge for the death of his mother but his plan could have catastrophic consequences for every creature in the sawgrass, including the two human boys and their family.
