The Seasons: A Poem

Sunrise over Amazing Grasses Family Farm The mad Artist wields His brush, Painted colors rush, To life and give flush, Before the quiet autumn hush. The life seems to pour, As colors fall to the floor, To be seen no more, Outside the dark, grey door. Brightness from below, Sun upon the snow, High, cold clouds blow, Flakes and ice appear to grow. The man melts with little seen, Underneath, pale, grey green, Hides life in dark unseen, Waits for warmth and to careen. Buds on branches show, Patience starts to grow, Trickles, streams and veins flow, Bringing fruits of melted snow. Sprung to life it springs, Bees, birds, sound rings, Lush green flings, Its gift bounty brings. Green growth gives one last rush, Underneath the Painter's brush. The mad Artist wields His brush, before the quiet autumn hush. More poetry is available from James M. Hahn in  The Last Dragon and Other Poems  available now. Saturday Photo Finish 12/05/2020

Here's my photo week in review.  It was a pretty good week with everyone staying relatively healthy.  Must be the chicken and sausage gumbo that keeps the rona away!

I spent the day Saturday making Chicken and Sausage Gumbo.  The kids love it but hate that I always make it on Saturday and insist that it sits overnight in the fridge to blend.  It's worth the wait for sure.

Wednesday into Thursday gave us our first real snow of the year.  Wednesday evening I took pictures of the house with the Christmas lights up.

I've been trying to walk 3.5 miles each day.  Although Thursday's walk was rather treacherous, it was worth the slipping and sliding in this Winter Wonderland!

Me getting into the Christmas spirit...2020 style.  It's actually my airsoft gear so don't get bent out of shape about the mesh mask.

Saturday we took a trip to Lancaster to drop someone off for work.  These littles were just happy to get out of the house for a time.

Father's homily was about narcissism and screen time, at least that's what I heard.  Not sure if these guys were paying attention...

Anthony helped us out taking new pictures for the wall of awesomeness and our family Christmas picture.  He's a good photographer if you need someone to shoot your wedding, family etc.

Have a great week!!!
